Passport

  • It must be an ordinary passport. Holders of diplomatic, service or special passports, refugee or stateless travel documents and other travel documents cannot use the eVisa and should apply at the Moroccan embassy or consulate that covers their place of residence.
  • It must be valid for at least 90 days from the date you submit the eVisa application.
  • Attach a clear colour copy of the pages that show your identity and the passport's validity.

When you fill in the form, copy your details exactly as they appear on your passport, residence card or visa: surname, given names, date of birth, nationality, and document numbers and validity dates.

Morocco visa photo requirements

  • Colour photo, 35 × 45 mm, of good quality.
  • Taken within the last 6 months.
  • Face clearly visible, in line with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) photo standard.

Residence permit (Category B)

Attach a clear colour copy of both sides of your residence card or permit. It must be valid for at least 180 days on the date you apply. Receipts for an application, renewal or extension, special certificates, work permits and circulation documents are not accepted in its place.

Qualifying visa (Category C)

Attach a clear colour copy of your multiple-entry, non-electronic visa. It must be valid for at least 90 days from the date of the eVisa application. What counts and what does not is explained in our guide to applying with a Schengen, UK or US visa.

Business trips

Add a document that shows why you are travelling (more in our business trip guide). The official terms give these examples:

  • a recommendation from the responsible ministry, for public procurement;
  • a written recommendation from the relevant professional chamber, for private procurement;
  • an invitation from the organiser of a fair or exhibition you are attending;
  • an invitation from an industrial, commercial or service company;
  • or any other proof of the purpose of the trip.

Upload rules

File format and size

Attachments must be JPG, JPEG or PDF files of no more than 1 MB each. Scan each document clearly before you start the application.

To avoid delays, see our list of common Morocco eVisa application mistakes.

Families and groups can group their applications into a single file so that all applications are processed together. Check every field and attachment before validating: once an application is validated and paid, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

Documents for the journey

Carry your eVisa with your passport. On arrival, border officers may also ask for the following, so it is sensible to have them with you:

  • The residence card or visa used for the application (Categories B and C)
  • A return ticket
  • Proof of funds — an international bank card, or cash equivalent to more than €70 per person per day of stay
  • Medical and repatriation insurance covering the stay

Children under 18 travelling on an eVisa may enter Morocco only with a parent or legal representative.
