| Bangladeshi passport, living in the United Kingdom | eVisa |
| Egyptian passport, living in the United Kingdom | eVisa |

| Sri Lankan passport, living in the United Kingdom | eVisa |

| Iranian passport, living in the United Kingdom | Embassy or consulate visa |
| Syrian passport, living in the United Kingdom | Embassy or consulate visa |
The United Kingdom is one of the countries of residence listed in Category B of the Morocco eVisa rules. That matters for the many people in London, Manchester, Birmingham and the rest of the UK whose own passport would normally need an embassy visa for Morocco.
If your nationality needs a visa for Morocco and you live in the UK with a residence permit that is still valid for at least 180 days on the day you apply, you can request the eVisa online as a UK resident. If your nationality is in Category A (for example India) you can apply with your passport alone, and if your passport is visa-exempt for Morocco, as a British passport is, you do not need the eVisa at all. See Do I need a visa for Morocco? for your passport.
The UK residence permit: card or eVisa?
The Moroccan eVisa terms ask UK residents to upload a clear colour copy of both sides of their residence card or permit. In the UK, biometric residence permits (BRPs) have all expired and been replaced by eVisas, a digital record of your immigration status, according to the UK government.
The Moroccan terms do not say how a digital-only status is handled. Before you pay:
- run Morocco’s official eligibility check with your nationality and the United Kingdom as your country of residence, and
- make sure you have a document you can upload that shows your UK permission and that it is valid for at least 180 days on the day you apply.
Receipts for a Home Office application, renewal or extension do not count as a residence permit.
What has worked in practice
In the applications we have seen, UK residents with a digital eVisa have done this:
- Sign in to the UK government’s View and prove your immigration status service and get a share code. According to the UK government, a share code lasts 90 days and can be used to prove your status, including when you travel.
- In Morocco’s eVisa application, enter the share code where the residence permit number is asked.
- Download the PDF of your status from the UK government service and upload it in place of the copy of a residence card.
This is our practical experience, not a procedure published by the Moroccan authorities, who decide every application. Check that the document shows UK permission that is still valid for at least 180 days on the day you apply.
A second route: a Schengen or other visa in your passport
You can also qualify through a visa you already hold (Category C), wherever you live. It has to be a multiple-entry visa that is not electronic, valid for at least 90 days from the day you apply, issued by the Schengen area, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, Japan, Norway or New Zealand. A Schengen visa sticker in your passport is the most common example for UK residents. Details: the eVisa with a Schengen, UK or US visa or residence permit.
Flying from the UK
There are direct flights to Morocco from across the UK. See London to Marrakech, London to Agadir, London to Casablanca, Manchester to Marrakech and all flights to Morocco for airlines, airports and timetables. At the border, carry the residence card or visa you used for your eVisa application with your passport and eVisa.

Questions from United Kingdom residents
Do British citizens need a visa for Morocco?
No. On 15 October 2026 Morocco's official eligibility check told British ordinary-passport holders that they need neither a visa nor an AEVM. This page is for people who live in the UK with another nationality.
Can Pakistani, Nigerian or Bangladeshi citizens living in the UK get the Morocco eVisa?
Yes. On 15 October 2026 the official eligibility check offered the eVisa to Pakistani, Nigerian and Bangladeshi ordinary-passport holders living in the United Kingdom, even though the same passports need an embassy visa when the holder lives at home. Your UK residence permit must be valid for at least 180 days on the day you apply.
My UK immigration status is an eVisa, not a card. Can I still apply?
The UK has replaced biometric residence permits with eVisas, a digital record of your status. Morocco's eVisa terms ask for a colour copy of both sides of a residence card or permit and do not describe digital status. In the applications we have seen, UK residents entered their UKVI share code in place of the residence permit number and uploaded the PDF of their status from the UK government's View and prove your immigration status service. This is our experience, not a published Moroccan procedure, so check that your permission is valid for at least 180 days on the day you apply. If you hold a multiple-entry Schengen visa in your passport, that is a second route.
I am an Indian citizen living in London. Which route do I use?
Indian citizens are in Category A, so you can apply with your Indian passport alone, wherever you live. You do not need to rely on your UK residence.
Is a Home Office application or renewal receipt accepted?
No. The official terms do not accept receipts for an application, renewal or extension of a residence card, special certificates or work permits. You need a residence permit that is valid for at least 180 days on the day you apply.
Which nationalities cannot use the eVisa even with UK residence?
On 15 October 2026 the official check still asked for an embassy visa for Iranian, Palestinian, Samoan, Syrian and Tuvaluan passports with UK residence. Holders apply at a Moroccan embassy or consulate.
