Short answer

Indian citizens with an ordinary passport can apply for the Morocco eVisa with their passport alone.

What the official check said

Results from Morocco's official online eligibility check on 15 October 2026, for an ordinary passport and a tourist trip:

Situation Result
Indian passport, living in India, no other visa eVisa

India is one of the ten nationalities that can use the Morocco eVisa on the strength of the passport alone (Category A). You do not need a residence permit or a visa from another country, which makes the process simpler than for many neighbouring countries in South Asia.

The main things to get right are the passport and the photo. Your passport must be an ordinary passport with at least 90 days of validity from the day you apply, and the photo must be a recent 35 × 45 mm colour photo that meets the ICAO standard. Families travelling together should put all applications in one file so they are processed together. Each traveller, including each child, needs their own eVisa.

Conditions for Indian citizens

  • Ordinary passport valid for at least 90 days from the date of the eVisa application.
  • Category A depends on nationality only, so it applies wherever you live.

Key eVisa rules

  • One entry, a stay of up to 30 days, valid for up to 180 days from issue.
  • For tourism or business trips only. Ordinary passports only.
  • Government fee: 770 MAD (standard, 3 business days) or 1,100 MAD (express, 1 business day).

Documents to prepare

  • Recent colour photo (35 × 45 mm, taken within the last 6 months, ICAO-compliant, face clearly visible).
  • Clear colour copy of your ordinary passport (identity and validity pages).

Questions from Indian citizens

Do Indians need a visa for Morocco?

Yes. Indian citizens need permission to enter Morocco, but they do not have to visit an embassy. India is in Category A of the Morocco eVisa rules, so Indian ordinary-passport holders can apply for the eVisa online with their passport alone.

Can Indians living outside India apply for the Morocco eVisa?

Yes. Category A depends on nationality, not on where you live, so an Indian ordinary-passport holder living in the UAE, the UK or elsewhere can still apply under Category A.

How much does the Morocco eVisa cost for Indian citizens?

The government fee is the same for every nationality, 770 MAD for a standard eVisa or 1,100 MAD for an express eVisa.

How long can Indians stay in Morocco on an eVisa?

Up to 30 days, with a single entry. The eVisa itself can be valid for up to 180 days from the date it is issued.

Can I use an Indian diplomatic or official passport?

No. Only ordinary passports are accepted for the eVisa. Holders of other passport types should apply at a Moroccan embassy or consulate.
